I have 30 years of experience teaching children from ages 5-17 in a variety of schools and privately. My experience working with children ranges from teaching in schools for dyslexic children and those with specific learning difficulties to working with children with a range of abilities in a highly academic school.
I have been lucky to have supported children individually, in small groups and through class teaching and recognise that the obstacles children face in a classroom affect them differently in comparison to a one to one.
For many years I was director of Learning Support in an London elementary school. My responsibilities included teaching, assessment, training teachers and teaching assistants, organising insets for staff, planning interventions, etc.
